Our Past Dogs

CH Happy Mar Nash Bridges of Nordlicht

Picture
Nash was our first real show dog and our first champion. Born in 1996 and came to us in 1997 at 15 months. He was the dog that started our now strong lines as our foundation stud dog. He was a multiple Best of Breed winner and a Best Veteran in Show winner. He was also Ashley's first juniors dog from her age of 10-14 and the accomplished many wins in that time, including multiple all breed and specialty Best Junior Handlers and of course Best Junior at the 2002 GSDC of America Nationals. Nash lived to be 12 (June 2008) and today he lives on in many of our dogs, his children, grandchildren, and great-children.

CH Windmill's Synchronicity

Picture
"Sting" brought Windmill GSD to a new level, he was our first Bred-by champion and our first steady special. He was the #10 GSD in 2006 and had multiple group placements. He was also Best Bred-By GSD at Eukanuba 2006. He sired several litters and produced 2 champion daughters, and another major pointed daughter. He contributed to our kennel more than we could have imagined.

CH Wndmlls Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Picture
Our Special Maia who passed 1 weeks shy of 13. She was special to us for many reasons, she will also be the first German Shepherd Ashley put a major on. She traveled around the country with Ashley as her juniors dog and they had a very strong bond. We will always miss her.

GCH Windmill's Sweet Child O' Mine

Picture
"Lily" was our first superstar female. She was everything a breeder could want. She had a great temperament and loved showing. She finished fast and had a nice specials career becoming one of the first GSDs to earn a Grand Championship. She had a group placement and multiple Best of Breeds.
We lost her too young to a snake bite.

CH Windmill's Wanted Dead or Alive

"Dalton" was big sable dog. He had a great career and enjoyed retirement which including getting his HIC, he really loved herding our goats.

2001-2011

AKC GCH/UKC CH Windmill's Luck O' The Irish

Picture
"Darby" was our very special sweet boy. He was the only one in his litter and he was a superstar from the beginning. He finished he championship and 2 weeks later finished his grand championship. Unfortunately Darby had a heart attack and died not long after finishing his grand. He was only 18 months old but in that time he stole our hearts. We will never forget out lucky boy.

Kaimacha Chickasaw TC

Picture
"Chick" was bought from someone who was getting out of GSDs. She became our brood bitch and she is our matron. Almost all of dogs go back to her. Chick was our house dog and our first 13 club member.

1996-2009

Windmill's Wild Firecracker

Picture
"Fire" was our first black GSD. She only ended up with 4 points (mostly because she was a black) but she was an amazing show dog. Fire had 2 litters and from those litters she produced Ch. Windmill's Wanted Dead or Alive, Ch. Wndmlls Every Rose Has It's Thorn, and Windmills Livin' on a Prayer (major pointed and mother of Sel Ex BISS Ch. Liebchen's Boogie Wonderland ROM). She is now in several of our current dogs pedigrees and impacted our breeding program to a new level.

1998-2008

Windmill's Paradise City

Picture
Kona was our girl who had a lot of coat. She had a successful career until she pulled a muscle in her back leg, so never had the chance to finish. She won a 4 point major at 2 and she also won Best Bred By in Show at the huge Tulsa shows on the same day in Nov. 2008. She just needed a major to finish. Kona was a great pet also and we will never forget her.

"Riot" was a singleton pup and the only litter his dam ever had. He had a great show career and was just needing majors till we lost him in a freak accident. He will always be our loud mouth boy.

2005-2008

Windmill's Every Breath You Take

Picture
"Breeze" was always our stay at home girl. She never showed, but she produced GCH Windmill's Sweet Child O' Mine who was one of our best show dogs. Breeze lived a long, happy, healthy life and was all that we asked of her.

2001-2014

Zitterkopf's Aspen Cloudpeak

Picture
"Aspen" our first female GSD, she wasn't the best show wise but we loved her and were happy to have in our lives for 11 years. Today we still have dogs that are descended from her including our Ch. Maia.
